so i have this leftover buttermilk (about 2 cups worth) from my most recent butter making extravaganza. fresh buttermilk is so delicious and so much better than store bought. i used the last batch of it in mashed potatoes but i am kind of potatoed out after thanksgiving. so i want to make some ranch dressing.
i have been perusing the internet but since i have never made ranch dressing before, i have no idea which recipes are better than others. does anyone have a really good buttermilk ranch recipe they can share with me?

My favorite is Pioneer Woman's:

Yum yum yum.
thanks julie! i knew you would come through
Dude, there was an issue of Saveur that was about salads, maybe a year ago, that had a ton of recipes for dressings. I made their ranch (which called for buttermilk) and it was to diiiiiie for. I seriously ate everything with that damned ranch until it was gone.
Here it is:

Okay, I just compared the Saveur recipe with Julie's recipe and they appear to be very similar. I thought I should mention though, I added some fresh dill to mine and I would definitely recommend it.
I am clearly very serious about my ranch.
I was going to recommend the pioneer womans too. I've never even made hers but I remember seeing it and I feel like the way she cooks is similar to mine. Let us know what you use!
this is awesome! i will have to try both, or just one if they are that similar. i need to get some fresh herbs first though.
