i've also been taco hunting here in LA. i plan to go to the beach today but have spent a good hour or so on the internet researching the best tacos in santa monica. i think tacos por favor may be my spot!
on monday i had some disappointing tacos from grand central market (dry, topped w/ lettuce, bland). yesterday, emily and i had some pretty good tacos from this place down the street for her (my taco-dar was calling me to it). however, i still am seeking my transcendental LA taco experience. i am hoping tacos por favor is the answer...

MMmmm bacon wrapped hot dogs AND great tacos? LA sounds great! We missed you last night and Mesh was really good. I highly recommend it next time you have $75 to spend on dinner.

Brown Dog was very good on Wednesday, although I'm not crazy about the ambiance (and not only because it's in a strip mall). But we definitely need to talk about Chalk when you get home. I was there last night with my buddy Anthony and we had a blast - great atmosphere and terrific, reasonably priced food
