it was the first time i had ever had chick-fil-a. "what?" i can hear you gasp. "you NEVER had chick-fil-a???" no, readers. i had not. i grew up in illinois, texas, and michigan, and after college i moved to new york city. there has never been a chick-fil-a anywhere i have ever lived. actually, i think there might have been one somewhere in manhattan, but i had never had it and therefore never bothered to hunt it down. there was so much other fried chicken i needed to eat in new york.
actually, now that i think about it, there probably wasn't any chick-fil-a in new york. my friend k, who had lived in little rock before moving there, was constantly talking about it and bitching about how it could not be found in the city.
so yesterday i had it for the first time and damn was it tasty. the waffle fries were delicious. the cole slaw was pretty much kfc style. and the chicken sandwiches were soooo good. the meat was juicy, crispy, flavorful. whatever spice mixture they use on the chicken is yummy. i also liked that they put pickles on them.
now i was eating one of 100 sandwiches which had been sitting around for probably an hour or so by the time i got one. so the buns and the fries were a little limp. i do not blame chick-fil-a for this and i would definitely go back.
word on the street is that the chick-fil-a people are really religious and the restaurants are not open on sundays. so you have to get your fill of chickeny goodness the other six days of the week. chick-fil-a, i give you two wings up.

there is a chik-fil-a (sp?) on the campus of NYU
They are my favorite of the fast food - well and Arby's. I love me some Chik! The calendars around the holidays are fun too.
haha you missed the chick-fil-a boat growing up? goodness.
I agree, the waffle fries are really good. If I ate at a fast food joint again, it'd be at Chick-Fil-a for their waffle fries and Arby's for their curly fries.
yes I like potatoes, a lot- don't judge me.
and wendy's for their spicy chicken sandwich!
Chik-fil-a is awesome. The thing that astounds me is that the waffle fries look like they're going to be gross. They remind me of high school hot lunch. Then you taste one and it's actually really tasty. It's always surprising to me.
The thing that annoys me though is that there's always too much food but not enough drink. I don't want that many fries but I'm always thirsty.
Besides the tasty food, they have spectacular service. I've been to the one up in Sharonville, am always struck by how friendly the workers are.
